Privacy Policy

How EcomRise HQ collects, uses and protects your personal information.

Last updated: 1 November 2026

EcomRise HQ (“EcomRise HQ”, “we”, “us” or “our”) provides ecommerce services, including marketplace account management, product listings, Shopify and WooCommerce store development, SEO, Google Business Profile management and marketing. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information when you visit ecomrisehq.com, contact us, or use our services.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Where other privacy laws apply to you, such as the GDPR in the UK or EU or state privacy laws in the United States, we also respect the rights those laws give you.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Enquiries: when you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number (optional), store or listing link (optional), the service you are interested in, and your message.
  • Messages: when you contact us by WhatsApp, email or social media, we receive your name or username, phone number or handle, and the content of your messages.
  • Client information: when you become a client, we collect business details, billing details, and the information needed to deliver our services, such as product data, store settings and marketing materials.
  • Account access: to manage your marketplace accounts, stores or Google Business Profile, we may need access to those accounts. Wherever a platform allows it, we ask you to add us as a user or collaborator rather than share your password.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical data: like most websites, our hosting servers record your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and the date and time of your visit, for security and to keep the site running properly.
  • Cookies: see section 7 below.

Information about other people

While managing your stores and accounts, we may see personal information about your own customers, such as names, delivery addresses and order details. We only use it to perform the work you hire us for, we do not use it for our own purposes, and we handle it in line with your instructions and each platform’s rules.

2. How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiries and send you quotes or proposals
  • To provide, manage and improve our services
  • To set up and manage your accounts, stores, listings and campaigns
  • To process online payments and orders, send invoices and manage payments
  • To send you updates about your project, and, if you agree, occasional news or offers (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • To keep our website and systems secure and prevent fraud or misuse
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

3. When we share your information

We only share personal information when we need to, with:

  • Service providers who help us run our business, such as our web host (Hostinger), email and messaging services (including WhatsApp), payment processors (Stripe and PayPal), and accounting tools
  • Platforms where we work on your behalf, such as Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Temu, Shopify, WooCommerce, Google and Meta, when that is needed to deliver your services
  • Team members and contractors who work on your project and are bound by confidentiality obligations
  • Authorities when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our clients or the public

4. Overseas transfers

Some of our service providers and the platforms we work with store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom and other countries. When we send personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is protected to a standard similar to the Australian Privacy Principles.

5. How we keep your information safe

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. These include encrypted (HTTPS) connections to our website, access controls, and strong passwords with two-factor authentication where available. Account access you give us is used only for your project and is removed when our work ends. No method of sending or storing data is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, including to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted after 24 months at the latest. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

7. Cookies

Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies, mainly ones needed for the site to work, such as security, caching and form protection cookies. If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, such as Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.

8. Third-party links

Our website links to other websites and platforms, such as Instagram, TikTok, Threads, YouTube and WhatsApp. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their privacy policies.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Give you access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete
  • Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it
  • Stop sending you marketing messages

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. To make a request, email privacy@ecomrisehq.com or contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will reply within 30 days.

10. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au, or to the data protection authority where you live.

11. Children

Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
